1. What cookies and local storage are
A cookie is a small file a site asks your browser to keep. Local storage is a similar mechanism with a larger limit that is never sent to the server automatically. Both are used to remember state between page loads. Neither is a program, and neither can read files on your device.
2. What this Site uses
| Name | Type | Category | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|---|---|
polaris.cookie-notice.v1 |
local storage | strictly necessary | Records that you dismissed the cookie notice so it stays closed | Never, until you clear site data |
The site also loads its own font files and images from the same domain. Those requests are not cookies and are not used to identify you.
3. What this Site does not use
- No analytics cookies or analytics products.
- No advertising, retargeting or affiliate cookies.
- No social media embeds or share-button trackers.
- No heatmaps, session recording, A/B testing or fingerprinting.
4. Third parties
No third party sets cookies through this Site. When you follow a link to X, that service may set its own cookies on its own domain, under its own policy. Polaris does not control that.
5. How to control it
You can delete the stored preference at any time:
- Use "Cookie settings" in the Site footer to reopen the notice.
- Clear site data for polarisforms.xyz in your browser settings, which removes the key.
- Browse in a private window, where the key is discarded when you close it.
If you block local storage entirely, the notice will appear again on each visit. Nothing else on the Site breaks.
6. Browser signals
Because the Site runs no tracking, there is nothing for a "do not track" or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off. The signals are respected by default.
7. Changes
If a future version of the Site adds something that stores data, this page and the notice will be updated before it ships.
